Nadav Steinmetz had the great pleasure of being a keynote speaker at the first climate tech conference in Israel last September.
What an unbelievable turnout – 2,000 attendees, 130 startups, 60 speakers, 10 delegates from COP27, and infinite opportunities!
We were thrilled to partner with PLANETech at the conference in Tel Aviv this past September. The conference was a huge success, and an incredible opportunity to take the climate tech ecosystem to the next level! On the main stage, Nadav shared a clear message: achieving net zero by mid century will require a multi angle approach! And while this is an enormous challenge — it also presents a multi-trillion dollar investment opportunity.
Nadav also spoke about the climate tech landscape, ways to increase the rate of innovation, the importance of early stage venture capital, and how to source and invest in the next generation of climate breakthroughs. Nadav covered Nomea’s investment strategy, why we’re excited to fund more Israeli climate tech startups, and discussed the key technologies for decarbonization that are not yet commercially viable.
The event was full of optimism, energy, and promising technologies. We enjoyed meeting so many inspiring founders, fellow investors, and industry experts and we’re looking forward to the next event.
PLANETech is leading the Israeli climate tech ecosystem, by building knowledge and tools, developing partnerships, and promoting the implementation of technologies. PLANETech is a non-profit organization, a joint venture of the Israel Innovation Institute and Consensus Business Group.
